Happy Mother's Day

I have the best mom in the whole world!  She is always there for me in good times and bad and provides her loving support.  What would I do without her?  As a card-maker, of course, I always make a card for her on this day.  This year is no different!

Here is the card that I created:

I recently received the Stamp of Approval Box and what better excuse to break it out and start crafting away.  The box includes a beautiful floral set - "Enchanted Garden" (Sugar Pea Designs) that I couldn't resist using - and with so many great ideas that Catherine Pooler and her team provide, it was easy to get started.  I used one of the techniques that Catherine used in her sneak peek videos - white heat embossing and sponging on some distress ink, then die cutting them out with the included coordinating dies.

I used all shades of blue since that is mom's (and mine) favorite color.  I also used a couple of new products that I *just* received from My Favorite Things - the Stitched Basic Edges dies and the Watercolor Wash 6x6 Paper Pack.

The sentiment is from the "Mother Knows Best" set by Fresh Squeezed Stamps.
