Happy New Year!

I love the Holiday season from top to bottom - I love the decorations, the music, buying presents for loved ones, making my Christmas cards, etc.  But it is a super busy time at work and home - so I do enjoy the down time right afterwards.  Time to relax, reflect on the year and catch up on things I've neglected (like my blog! teehee).

So, finally I found some time to make thank you cards to those who contributed to the charity walk I've done for the past 6 years for the Children's Hospital of Orange County.  It is a great cause and I get to walk through Disneyland in the wee hours of the morning!

Here is the card I created:

The Mickey punches I had weren't quite the right size, so I ended up using my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to create and then cut them out of patterned paper.  I had to watch a couple of YouTube videos to figure out how to meld shapes, but after some trial and error, got it to the right shape and size! 

I just love my Brother Scan N Cut 2!  That and the MISTI were truly my favorite crafty purchases in 2015!  Both were a little pricey, but I think they will both save a lot of time and frustration!
