Wow, I guess it's been almost 2 weeks since I last posted a card! It's been a busy week at work and at home - 401(k) Audit (yuck), a couple of Dodger games, San Diego, Disneyland, a concert (U2) and a Bridal Shower!
Today, I finally had some free time to get those creative juices flowing and decided to enter a card for the Play Date Cafe Challenge #87.
Here is the card I made:
I love to make my own backgrounds and this yummy argyle set I just received from Papertrey Ink was just too cute not to use right away. I stamped the diamond outlines, colored them in with some Copics, and then stamped the dotted line detail on top. Then, I added the sentiment and the red stripe in the middle. Don't you love the embossed stars on either side of the sentiment?
Stamps: 'A Little Argyle' (Papertrey Ink), 'Thanks for your Kindness' (Hero Arts)
Paper: Red, White, and Navy (DeNami Design)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Paris Dusk and Danube Blue (Memento)
Misc: Copic Markers (B26, R29, W2), Star from Snowman Brass Template (Lasting Impressions), Corner Punch (Creative Memories), Embossing Powder (Stamp LaJolla)
Cheers!
Lin :)
