The challenge this week on CAS-ual Fridays' Blog is to create a Clean and Simple card using three elements in a row on the Tic Tac Toe board - vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. So many possibilities!
Here is the card I made:
I made this card for my cousin's niece, Julie, who is getting married in a couple of months and I wanted to have a card ready for her Bridal Shower - the challenge was far from my mind. Julie's wedding colors are gray, blue and white and she loves everything vintage. The background paper, the crocheted flower garland (I had to carefully cut a couple of flowers off the band - eek!) and the butterfly stamp are all supplies I've recently purchased - and they all seemed to go so well together, so it made it a little easier. Once I chose the border punch, I just had to add the embellishments - the gems for the butterfly body and the button for the flower center. What a joy this was to make. I hope the bride-to-be likes it!
Stamps: Leaf Print Butterfly (Memory Box), 'best wishes' (Hero Arts)
Paper: Doily Lace (Martha Stewart), Sapphire (Hot Off the Press), White (DeNami Design),
Ink: Danube Blue (Memento)
Misc: Crocheted Flower Garland (Petaloo), Diamond Lace Border Punch (EK Success), Gems and Button
Cheers!
Lin :)
