Welcome 2011! It's hard to believe that 2010 has come and gone. The year has flown by with all the ups and downs of a roller coaster! I hope that 2011 is a much smoother ride!
For the new year, I decided to start this blog, mainly to keep track of my craft projects, but also to chronicle my other life adventures.
The first card I made in the new year was inspired by the last card I made in 2010! Here's the card I made for Noelle's 14th birthday:
Stamp: Medium Birthday Circle (DeNami), Birthday Rubber Cling (Unknown)
Paper: Hershey (Bazzill), The Sweet Matstack (Die Cuts With a View)
Ink: Bamboo Leaves (Memento)
Misc: Scalloped Punch (Marvy), Aqua Marine & Lemonade Glitter (Sparkle N Sprinkle), Celadon Green Marker (Copic)
And here is the Christmas Thank You card that I created yesterday:
Stamp: Many Thanks (PrintWorks), Unmounted Swiss Dots (Endless Creations)
Paper: Cinnamon (Lasting Impressions) & Unknown
Ink: Bamboo Leaves (Memento)
Misc: Classic Scalloped Ovals (Spellbinders Nestabilities), Clear Embossing Powder (Stamp La Jolla)
I am going to try to be more 'proactive' in my cardmaking and not just desperately create a card the night before some event :)
Also during the holiday break, I worked on a couple of embroidery projects. I've been so busy with so many other things that I didn't have time to embroider much in 2010, and I had the itch to make a thing or two!
Embroidery Patterns by Bird Brain Designs.
And finally the last project I worked on during the Holidays was that I finished one of the two scarves that I'm making for the Special Olympics:
This was a simple cable pattern that my mom gave me
Cheers!
Lin :)
