The Sky is the Limit

Hello my crafty friends!  I'm here to share with you a card I made for today's daily post on the CDD blog.

I decided to finally break out my Color Burst watercolor powder.  I cut some strips of watercolor paper, lightly placed some of the powder on top, then spritzed some water.  I actually thought I was going to come out pretty smooth, but there was quite a bit of water on top, so I ended up not wanting it to look perfect, so I would dry it, spritz parts of it again and then dab off the moisture - this created lovely spots that I loved.  I then, used the balloon die cuts to cut out some balloons.

I colored the Panda with Copic Markers (T2, T4, T6, E93, R22, R27, R39)

Then, I used some Distress inks to create a light watercolor wash in the background and added a strip of vellum with the white heat embossed sentiment.  I popped the whole thing on a white card base.

Here are all of the CDD products that I used:

Panda Pals
The Sky is the Limit

You're One of a Kind

Hello my crafty friends!  I'm here to share with you a card I made for today's daily post on the CDD blog.

I've been wanting to make a slider card and use the beautiful unicorn from the Magical Wishes set.  What better companion than the unicorn of the sea - the Narwhal!  I started out with an A7 size piece of watercolor cardstock, masked half of it and distress inked it with shades of blue on one side and purple on the other side.

I then stamped the images, colored them with Copic Markers:

Narwhal:  B93, B95, B97, B99;  W0, W02, W04
Unicorn:  BG11, BG13, BG18;  RV0000, RV000, RV00; W00, W0, W02;  BV00
Iceberg:  B0000, B000

And I die cut all images using my Brother Scan N Cut 2.

Next, I stamped the sentiment using my Versamark stamp pad, and then white embossed it onto the watercolor card stock.  Then, I die cut the slider portion (reserving the die cut piece to later place underneath) and sandwiched a piece of double sided foam tape in between 2 pennies - one placed underneath the opening and the other on top.  Added my creatures using additional foam tape and voila!

Sending Birthday Fishes

Hello my crafty friends!  I'm here to share with you a card I made for today's daily post on the CDD blog.

I recently went to the Hollywood Bowl to watch The Little Mermaid Live - a wonderful event where the movie played with a live Orchestra and artists singing all of the songs.  So, I was inspired to make a card with a Little Mermaid theme!

I stamped a bunch of images from multiple stamp sets and colored them with Copic Markers:

Ariel:  E50, E51, E53, E93; R32, R37, R39; V01, V15; Y13, Y15, Y17; YG11, BG45, BG49;
Flounder:  Y00, Y02, Y08; B00, B02, B04
Nemo:  YR12, YR16, YR18; N00, N02;
Dory:  B24, B28, B37; Y18;
Pink Fish:  R81, R83, R85, R89;
Octopus:  BV00, BV11, V17;
Turtle:  YG23, YG17, YG67; E31, E33, E35; E23, E25, E27, E29;
Seahorse:  YR23, YR24, YR27; E35, Y35;
Seaweed:  YG93, YG95, BG13;
Coral:  R20, R22, R35; R83, R85, R89; BG45, BG49, BG75;
Castle:  E53, E55, E57, E59, R29;
Sand Dollar:  BG0000, BG000, BG05;
Shell:  E00, E02;

I die cut everything with my Brother Scan N Cut 2.  Then I cut/scored an A2 sized piece of card stock to make a side step card base (center cut is at 3in and cut from 1in to 6.5in, on the 3in side, score at 4.25 in, on the 2.5in side, score at 1in, 2in, 3.25in, 4.5in, 6.5in).  I had an absolute ball adding all of the elements.

Here are all of the CDD products that I used:
