Yay! It's Your Birthday :)

Moving on to a much happier card!  The past few years, my goal has been to create a birthday card design, make a bunch of them and let that card be my birthday card for the year (that way you won't accidentally send the same card to the same person in back-to-back years).  Great idea, right? Well, I've never really followed through to do this!  Typically, I'm making a card at the very last minute the night before or the morning that I need it (eek!).

For once, when I created this card, I made 3 extra at the same time (which really doesn't take that much longer once the design is completed) AND I finished it a week before I need it!  (YAY for me! haha).

I started off by perusing the blogs of two of the very first paper crafters I started to stalk, I mean follow:  Laurie Willison and Debby Hughes :)

Here is the card that I created:

I used the stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp April 2015 Card Kit called "Big Birthday Wishes". What a great stamp set!  I am sure I will continually pull this set out to make birthday cards!  I also used the string from Mama Elephant's "Party Kit" stamp set and the patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn's "Beachside" 6x6 paper pack.

I hope you like it...

Cheers!

Lin :)
