One Day...

Ahhhh, finally - a day off of work with no plans. Time to relax and get my craft on! Checking out my favorite blogs, I see some similar challenges out there, so I'm going to combine a couple of them: CAS-ual Fridays' Challenge #18 (What's Black & White and Read All Over) and The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #97 (color challenge using, black, white and a splash of red). I've also managed to utilize Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #31 (Creating Backgrounds with Non-Background Stamps).

Here is the card I made:

For CFC #18, the book that inspired this card was David Nicholls' "One Day", a story of two people seen over the course of many July 15th's and how they discovered what they are looking for, was there all along. It's a bittersweet journey with touching moments and I think these colors go along perfectly with the storyline. For PTI's MIM technique, I used a flower from their Limited Edition 'Iconic Images' set to create the background pattern.

Supplies:

Cheers!
